Be Blessed

Hello there!

Last night I experienced something I've never had happen to me in all my 28 years on earth.

I rushed home from work,
changed,
let the dogs out
&
headed to church to watch my niece sing in her Christmas play which I thought started at 6.

I hurried to park on the street {the only spot available without having to park in the garage},
grab my stuff,
noticed it was 5:57 and rushed inside.

As I was about to walk across the street I heard a man ask me if I'm going to church.
Of course I said yes then turned around to continue walking through the crosswalk until I heard him ask "WILL YOU PRAY FOR ME"
I've never had a random person on the street ask me this.
I had my phone, keys & wallet in hand
but it never crossed my mind that he would steal from me.
I walked back over to him
he held my hand
& I prayed.
He wished me a Merry Christmas and to have a blessed day
& we parted ways.

As I was walking inside I had tears in my eyes.
He doesn't know this but that blessed me more than he'll ever know.

My church is located in downtown & isn't the safest place to be.
There was a cop sitting in his car which is probably why I felt it was ok to pray with him.
& little did I know that the program didn't start until 6:30 so I had plenty of time to stop.

We're all so busy with our lives that we just need to slow down.
The world is so full of hatred.

Slow down & bless someone!

Birthday Shenanigans

This weekend was filled with celebrating my 28th birthday.
I swear I have the best boyfriend to ever walk the earth!

I was able to leave work at 4.
We headed straight to my niece's school to watch her be an angel in a Christmas play.
Then went to eat with friends.

Friday night I started to feel like the flu was hitting me.
I stocked up on Nyquil & Dayquil & was out for the night at 10:30.
Talk about getting old! ha

Saturday morning I had a photo session.
It was scorching hot where everyone else was iced in.

Then Sunday we headed to Orlando to Sea World to visit with the penguins.
Ever since our last visit I've become obsessed with penguins.
Mr. Popper's Penguins needs to be me!

When we arrived Josh motioned that we needed to get tickets at the "reservation" desk.
Above the booth was a sign about the penguin tour!
My first thought was "omg no way I get to touch these little babies and take pictures with them"
Then I had tears in my eyes.

We walked around to the meeting place, watched people feeing the seal lions then headed back for our tour.
We saw the nursery, freezer where all the food is kept, a map of the exhibit along with where all the eggs are laid. Right now there are 23 eggs the penguins are sitting on.
Then my heart exploded when we walked into Antarctica.
The tour guide allowed 3 penguins in this tiny area for us to touch & take pictures.

This little fella walked over my feet then pecked at them. I seriously wanted to pick him up and bring him home with me.

Sunday could not have been more perfect.

We ended our night at the Huey Lewis & The News concert where I watched people my parents age dance to music I didn't even know!
One guy even fell asleep while his wife danced next to him!

High Five For Friday

Today I turn 28!
How crazy is that.
This past year has been so good to me.
I cannot wait to see what this year holds.

Here's how my week went:

I ordered the most adorable cognac boots & the very next day they were sitting on my front porch!
As soon as the weather decides its winter I'll get to wear them and post pictures. The best part was they were only $28 with free shipping.
SCORE!
Thank you Cyber Monday!

Wednesday night Josh took me out to dinner.
Free appetizers since I sign up for every member club you can to receive free goodies!
Wild West Shrimp is oh so delicious!

Thursday I had the day off.
Finally made an appointment to have my hair high lighted, cut, washed, dried & styled!

So refreshing.
Then it was off to the Thursday Night Jags game!
My brother Josh gives the best birthday gifts.
One year he paid to have a message put on the big screens in the stadium.
& ever since then I just expect him to do it.
Well this year he didn't but told me to wait a few quarters.
I had no idea what that meant but I went with it.
During the 3rd quarter I notice a staff member walking up with a huge button and certificate that says it's my birthday!
When he passed my row I looked at Josh {my bf} and pouted saying "well it's my birthday too" haha
& next thing I know this guy is looking for "JENNY"
obviously he was looking for me!
The Jags won their first home game of the season & we were on ESPN for the after show.

Before heading home Josh & our friends Ashli & Derek sang happy birthday to me in the truck & we ate chocolate chips cookies from Publix!

Today I've already received flowers from my favorite sales rep, my manager bought lunch & I cannot wait to get off work to be with my main man.

I also want to ask you all to vote for one of my sweet friends {Traci} to become a top mommy blog.
She has the most gorgeous little girl named Charli that she blogs about.
Check out her blog & vote by clicking on the link to the right!

Enjoy your weekend!
We're off to do Christmas pictures & a fun weekend in Sea World & going to see Huey & The News!

Thanksgiving

Hello all!
I figured today would be the perfect day to sum up the last two weeks of my life.
We had a friend get married last weekend.
Josh had friends come into town.
We ate at this restaurant that is right on the water.
Had the perfect view.
Tried my first oyster.
Loved it.
Steamed is the way to go. Add a little hot sauce & a cracker!
Boom.
Then we walked around St. Augustine.
I complained about my wedges.
I mean who walks around on uneven brick in wedges anyways?
Not the brightest idea.
Stopped at a local bar and had apple cider.
Danced the night away at the wedding.
Laughed too much.
Didn't want our friends to leave.
Watched Catching Fire.
Was completely lost since I didn't watch the first one.
Shopped.
Looked at wedding rings.
Eek!
Only because Josh's friends were looking at new rings.
Worked for 3 days.
 Then is was Thanksgiving.
We ate at my families lunch.
Quickly made it to his parents to continue eating then I got a migraine.
Slept for about 2 hours then went Black Friday shopping.
Walmart wasn't as crazy as I thought it would be.
Went to 4 different Walmarts, Target then to the mall to waste time before going to Home Depot.
My parents bought me a vanity sink for my bathroom.
We ended up with a step ladder, faucet & this really awesome firepit.
Went home & fell asleep around 630 am.

Josh worked Friday.
I had a Christmas photo session back in St. Augustine.
We had dinner and made it an early night.
Saturday we had Ryne's 4th birthday party.
Then our friends were hosting the FL/FSU game which we missed but had a great time playing games & drinking hot chocolate & butterscotch schnapps.
Was terrified by Derek dressed up as "Scream".
cried my eyes out because I thought my life was ending.
Put up my Christmas house lights & tree.
Ate a delicious meal at Outback.
& watched Bad Grandpa. {don't waste your money}
Now it's Monday.
It's my birthday week.
& we're celebrating all week long.
Hello Darling has been so blessed & busy.
We packed up a bunch of orders last night and have a ton more to pack once the shipment arrives!
This weekend I have another Christmas shoot.
Then Josh is taking me to see the penguins!
Sea World here we come!

Straight No Chaser

SURPRISE!

I love a surprise date night! Especially when it's something I would have never thought of.
Josh bought tickets a week ago to see Straight No Chaser & has kept me out of the loop since last night.
I've never heard of this group before.
We arrived early because it was raining and during rush hour traffic.
I saw we pulled into the garage for the Florida Theater packing, read the name on the marquee board but still had no clue who Straight No Chaser was.
I was going to google it but J said just wait til they start singing. So of course I started asking him all kinds of questions.
"is it country music?" it can be
"do we listen to them in the car?" sometimes
"Will I like them?" I hope so
I literally sat at the edge of my seat the entire time!
But we love a good A cappella group.
Seeing these guys perform was so amazing.
If you've never heard of them please YouTube their version of The 12 Days Of Christmas.
If you follow me on IG I posted a few snippets during the show.
It was very much encouraged.
This concert was probably so much better than any other concert I've been to.

Thank you Josh for such an amazing date!

Today is my FRIDAY!

Shenanigans I tell ya.

Good morning lovelies!
Today starts 3 short weeks in a row for me!
If that isn't something to look forward to then I don't know what is.

Saturday I got up early to have my oil and brakes changed.
Found out that my front tires are shredding & a back tire has a nail in it.
I've known I needed tires but have been putting it off.
Those close to me will be glad to know that as of tomorrow I'll have 4 brand new tires so no more worrying about me driving so far anymore!

Sunday the Jags finally had a home game in what seems like forever.
We lost. womp womp.
We still made the best out of the day.

It was also the last day of the fair & with our Jags ticket we were able to get in for FREE!
I'm not really sure what Josh & I are with our heads poking out but how stinkin' funny is Josh!
& that cow. Yeah he's only 2 years old and weighs 2000 lbs! That's going to be some good hamburgers right there! :) GRIN!
Hush PETA! A lot of people eat meat.
We ended the day at Cracker Barrel, me with a migraine which resulted in me falling asleep in the bathtub. All in all it was a great weekend.
This weekend we have friends coming in town for a wedding but Wednesday apparently I have a surprise from Josh coming my way. I've already been told it's not an engagement but that'll come in due time.

Here's to Wednesday & Friday having the day off!

Happy Monday!

Catching Up

My goodness.
It's been way too long.
From someone who used to post M-F I just can't seem to find the time to document every little detail of my life any longer.
Hello Darling Boutique has been so busy, my photography business has started to get busy, and my normal 8-5 job is just getting in the way. ha.
Although I'm thankful to have my 8-5 job don't get me wrong.

Hello Darling has so many new beautiful arrivals and my all time favorite has been this Aztec Tribal Cardigan. {don't mind my roots it's been months since my hair has seen my hairdresser}

I feel like the only time I have to relax with my feet up is when I'm letting the pups outside.
The weather has been the perfect temperature & the smell of the huge magnolia tree that sits in my backyard is the perfect place to relax.
Over the weekend Josh & his buddy Derek were able to finish putting up the privacy fence. Dodger no longer can go swimming at his own will.

This week the weather has been all kinds of cold.
I came home to a 64 degrees house and 3 cold pups. Then I went to Josh's place where it was 67 degrees! Seriously the guy loves this weather & even wanted to open the doors and windows.
Hello Darling just received a huge shipment of Fleece Lined Leggings & I may have saved a few for myself. They definitely kept me warm all night and even today. Get yourself a pair or two!

So now that I have kind of caught up from almost two weeks ago lets see if I can continue.
I really need an assistant part time! Which I guess I have since my model lives next door to me! :)
She's been truly amazing and hasn't complained once about the many outfit changes just to get the perfect lighting!

Happy Thursday!

Weekend Happenings & more....

Hello lovelies!
I know I've completely abandoned my blog.
For good reasons though.
Friday I left work and went to a Bachelorette party,
that consisted of eating at a Greek restaurant, riding around in a limo downtown where all the FL/GA party people were & ending the night at Hamburger Mary's which is a drag queen show.

Saturday was spent doing photo sessions at the beach & Sunday was spent putting up a new privacy fence before it got too dark outside!
The Gators lost but look how cute this Hello Darling customer is with her daughter!

My sister scored some 1/2 Halloween rock star wigs so this was a must!

I loved that extra hour of sleep except for the fact that at 2:30 and 3:30 a.m. I was ready to wake up!
& finally Monday we froze our tush off at Ryne's tee ball game sporting Hello Darling items!
The Infinity Fringe Scarves are currently back in stock, we not have the most stunning bracelets in Black/Gold & White/Gold, Piko Tunics, Fleece Lined Leggings, Cardigans & more!
Also FREE Shipping all week
visit Hooah&Hiccups to read her fashion post!

Weekend Howl-O-Scream Style

This trip was a last minute trip which was completely needed.
We've been going back & forth on Howl-O-Scream and finally decided on Wednesday that we would make it happen.
So Saturday morning we loaded up the car and head to Tampa.

During the day we rode all the coasters. Thankfully the weather felt amazing & it wasn't too crowded. After a few hours at the park we headed back to the hotel to check in and rest until it was time to be terrified!
As we walked into the park there was a ton of free standing doors & scary workers freaking everyone out. Last time I ever walked through a haunted house I found the first emergency exit door and bolted for it! I was probably 13 at the time. I've never had the urge to go back through the haunted houses until I met Josh. He loves this type of stuff.
The first two houses we walked through I headed Ashli's hand and clung to her the entire time. Besides the fact we were on the people in front of us we knew what was coming. Then the guys wanted us to walk with them but wanted us to walk ahead of them! Yeah talk about scared! There was a handful of times I screamed, jumped, ran in place because I didn't have anywhere else to go, dunked, held my face in my hands, etc. but I absolutely loved it!
We ended up getting the fast pass for the 7 houses and were able to go on each ride once with it which is worth the money. Most of the lines to the houses were over an hour wait & the park was only opened until 1:30.
The next day we woke up way too early and headed to Orlando. We're season ticket holders to both parks but we've never seen the new penguin exhibit. It's an actual ride through Antarctica then they turn you around and open the doors to these adorable little penguins! I gasped when I saw them and fell completely in love with how cute they were. It was 28 degrees in their "home" & the water was around 40 degrees.

This weekend was the most fun we've had in a while. & it definitely did us good to get away from the hustle and the bustle.

These little guys make me so happy!

Happy Monday!

Happies & Crappies vol: 7

I've been neglecting this little part of the internets I own lately for a good reason!
I've super busy promoting Hello Darling that you ladies all seem to love.
With that said here's how my week has been!

I'm linking up with Stephanie for some
Happies & Crappies.
The Vintage Modern Wife: Happies and Crappies Link Up

Happies
Hello Darling has been extremely busy! We've almost sold out of our Infinity Fringe Scarves & Piko tops. Yes these are true Piko's! I've already put in another order for long sleeve Piko's, more adorable tops, leggings, cardigans & more! Right now our Animal Print Leggings are $12.00!
Shop Hello Darling
& just a little hint! If you see our FB ad there's a 10% discount you can add to any order through next Friday! Go like us please!

Tomorrow Josh & I are headed to Tampa for the weekend with a few friends. We're going to Hall-O-Scream & I'm already freaked out! I seriously do not do scary! Walking Dead: I sit in a ball and have to hold on to Josh. After reading about robberies a little too close to home this morning I woke Josh up to walk me outside to make sure I made it safely to my car 10 steps away. Yes I get that scared. But Busch Gardens is going to be fun & I'll probably end up getting kicked out of the park because I don't know how to control my reactions.

Sunday when we head home I already have plans of meeting Hallie! I just pray it happens this time. Even if it's for just a hug and a few quick pictures, maybe some happy tears for finally meeting my bloggy BFF I will make this happen!

Crappies
Work. Enough said.

Happy Friday!
We made it another week!
Lets hope the weekend drags this time.

Weekend Happenings!

Hello again Monday.
It's that time again to recap the entire weekend in one post.

Friday started out with a sweet friend of mine releasing her album!
She's been singing in restaurants/bars & everywhere you can think of for the last few years trying to make her way to where she is now. If you love country music you'll love Amber DeLaCruz!

Also look how adorable this free print is I found from sugarpaper.com .
Fitting right!
Agreed!

3 years ago I bought a house right next door to my high school best friend!
She's not only gorgeous on the outside but the inside as well!
She was obligated to take pictures of Hello Darling items in the middle of the street Friday evening.
Check out Hello Darling Shop to order!
Amber is 5'6, 34B and is wearing a small Piko top paired with the Infinity Fringe Scarf.
If you normally wear an XS shirt like Amber this S will also fit.
Saturday was a busy day for birthday parties.
Then Sunday we watched the Jags got their butts beat again.
We ended the weekend with a pedicure for 4, Japanese & a late evening nap while watching Sunday Night Football.

& here is it Monday morning once again!
